In a mysterious military organization under the United States, a team of scientists led by Sebastian Kane (played by Kevin Bacon) is conducting research on invisibility technology. After years of effort, their research has shown promising results on animals. However, Sebastian, driven by impatience, disregards the instability of the drug and decides to test it on himself. The invisibility effect of the drug is remarkable, but Sebastian is unable to revert back to normal. To find a cure, his colleagues Linda Foster (played by Elisabeth Shue) and Matt Kensington (played by Josh Brolin) race against time. Meanwhile, Sebastian becomes increasingly addicted to the feeling of being invisible, using his newfound power for his own twisted desires. As he spirals into madness, his colleagues must find a way to stop him before its too late. This film won the Best Visual Effects Award at the 2001 American Academy of Science Fiction, Horror, and Fantasy Films, as well as the Audience Award at the 2000 Locarno International Film Festival.
